Gift cards and store credit that balance

Stored-value vouchers and customer store credit, in one register that balances.

A voucher is a stored-value record, whether you hand over a printed gift card or send a virtual code. Its code is unique across your whole business, it is redeemable at any till in any branch, and every redemption is written as an entry — so a half-spent voucher keeps its history instead of losing it to an overwritten balance. Store credit works the same way when you would rather not refund to a card.

Printed card or virtual code

Issue a voucher as a finished gift-card PDF you can print and hand over, or as a code the customer keeps on their phone. Both are the same record underneath.

One register, every balance

Every voucher you have issued, its current balance and the branch where each part of it was redeemed — in one list, not one list per shop.

The liability, in two reports

What is outstanding today, and how that number moved across a period you choose. Both reports sit behind their own permission, because voucher liability is a finance figure.
